Kiama Harbour is getting a foreshore upgrade to its coastal walkway including a new seawall, handrails, and seating.

The sea wall will feature an indigenous artwork of a whale and will provide stronger protection for sea surges for Black Beach reserve.

Also included will be a new access ramp, handrails, and seating.

The existing boat ramp and trailer parking will be retained.

The new walk will connect visitors from central Kiama to the Kiama Blowhole and Rockpool.

The cost will be about $2.1 million and conducted by Land and Marine Engineering. The work will take about 4 months, depending on the weather.
