Earlier last week, the Federal Minister for Communications Michelle Rowland and the local federal member for Gilmore detailed their Better Connectivity Plan for Regional and Rural Australia plan.
It is a 5-year initiative, providing funding to expand regional mobile coverage along highways and roads and in underserviced regional communities.
It will also support telecommunications resilience by preparing mobile base stations for natural disasters with additional power sources.
