Kiama Local Angelo Lisi recently decided to collect all the loose lead sinkers at the rock platform on the south side of Surf Beach in Kiama, a popular fishing spot for many decades.
Remarkably Angelo’s lead haul weighed in at 778 grams.
When he returned later at low tide to the same spot, he collected a further 623 grams.
A grand total of 1.2 kilos at the same spot. Lead is a heavy metal.
