Local Owners of Pet Rabbits are advised by NSW Local Land Services to keep their furry loved ones inside for the next few days.
A controlled release of Calicivirus is occurring in our local area by NSW Local Land Services.
The virus is used to control the wild population of rabbits and has not been found to affect any native species.
Local vets have been notified as vaccination is available for local pet rabbits.
This is the fourth release on the South Coast since the program began in 2017. Release sites on Wednesday, May 18 include Toolajoola, Berry, Lake Conjola and Shoalhaven Heads as well as various sites around Wollongong.
