Kiama state representative Gareth Ward has pressed the case with the NSW Government to assist Kangaroo Valley businesses who are still struggling from the impacts of flooding and the closure of Moss Vale Road over Barrengarry Mountain.
First-round grants didn’t allow for flood-impacted businesses to gain access to any support because Macquarie Street failed to deem these businesses as being ‘directly impacted’.
Go figure.
However, Kangaroo Valley is now open to business from all three directions.
As of Friday last, the Moss Vale Road (northern access) was operational with one way traffic lights affecting a section.
