Despite staff approval, the Kiama Council rejected a development application from the Fountaindale Group at its Tuesday meeting.
The organization has released a media statement expressing disappointment & resolving to take the matter to the Land and Environment Court, where they are confident of success.
Before Tuesday’s meeting, the council had a visit from the former long-serving member for the Federal of Blaxland (the Bankstown Sydney area) and now a resident of Gerringong. Paul Keating, accompanied by architect Richard Francis-Jones discussed the Greater Cities Commission, which is charged with developing regions including the Illawarra and Shoalhaven.
By the way, Kiama council is seeking a Labourer/Mower Operator to help maintain parks, gardens and reserves.
It’s a full-time job, working to a nine-day fortnight.
