Kiama Woolworths will stop trading from July 23 for about three weeks.
This is part of the rebuild of Kiama Village, which Woolworths own.
A manager told Kiama Community Radio that plans to supply groceries to local residents are being made and will be announced close to the shutdown date.
Residents have raised concerns about Kiama being a one grocery town, especially now with the loss of public transport with the closing of Kiama Cabs and the planned further loss of parking areas in sell-offs by Kiama council.
