The Greater Cities Commission has announced the appointment of Ms Jacki Johnson as Commissioner for the Illawarra, one of three new Greater Cities Commissioners.
They will lead planning for NSW’s Six Cities Region over the next four years. The Greater Cities Commission is a planning body that will report to the state Government. It has been charged with creating Australia’s first global city region, delivering global economic scale and local liveability.
The Six Cities region includes the Illawarra-Shoalhaven City, as well as the Lower Hunter and Greater Newcastle City, the Central Coast City, the Western Parkland City, the Central River City and the Eastern Harbour City.
