Paid Parking has again surfaced as a possible revenue strategy for Kiama Council with a discussion held by Kiama Council at its last council meeting.
While residents will be exempted, many public discussions have been about how the exemptions will work and whether the cost of enforcement will be more than the revenue earned.
One option is to start paid parking at the Kiama Blowhole Car Park as a trial.
Paid Parking has already arrived in Kiama, with Wilsons Parking operating the carpark at the Kiama Railway Station, which is free for Opal card users but up to $30 a day for casual users.
