The state government is offering assistance for pensioners already receiving power assistance to install a small solar system.
The Energy Bill Buster program to help reduce power bills opened last week but is not yet available in the Kiama Local Government area.
Eligible households will include pensioners and Department of Veterans Affairs Gold Card holders receiving the Low-Income Household Rebate, who can receive ten years’ worth of rebates upfront to finance solar or appliance upgrades.
