Shellharbour City Libraries have partnered with Council’s environment team to start a seed library at Oak Flats Library.
The seed library will share a collection of seeds, grow community knowledge about gardening and the lifecycle of plants, and strengthen food security in the local community.
The program promotes a ‘borrow and return’ system where library members can borrow seeds, grow the seeds and once they are harvested, return the seeds to the library & continue the cycle.
