The great wall is done….the Kiama seawall and waterside walk.
Our member for Kiama, Gareth Ward has welcomed the project completion at Black Beach, Kiama Harbour.
He adds, “As your local MP and having helped to secure the funding needed for this project back in 2021 from the previous NSW Government, I’m so pleased that a key component of the Kiama foreshore revitalisation plan is now completed – and that our local community can enjoy all the benefits.”
There have been delays due to securing the seawall to bedrock. The 3 million dollar venture was originally due for completion last September.
It will shield against storms and protect Black Beach Reserve and the Harbour Park area.
