
The June Long Weekend in Kiama and Gerringong features plenty of live music for 3 days with the Surf Life Festival at the Gerringong Town Hall. Tickets – 60 dollars per day or 155 dollars for a full weekend pass. Free music is also available at the Gerringong Bowling club on Sunday from 12 to 4 pm with various buskers strolling the streets of Gerringong.
A van life festival will be held on Saturday, June 11, from 11 to 2 pm, with prizes for the best surf van. At the same time, a surfboard swap meet will also be held at the Gerringong Bowling club. Featured acts will include Teen Jesus, The Jean Teasers, the Debbies, and Bakers Eddy.
The surfing-themed weekend was preceded by a successful Night of the Gerringong Museum last Thursday organised by Jeff McCarthy. The night featured a large surf history display in the gallery plus early 80‘s films of the Werri Beach boardriders. More than 100 attended.
On the same weekend, Crooked River Winery will feature its Winter Wine festival featuring international acts Amy Shark on Saturday and Xavier Rudd on Sunday.
General admission tickets will be 88 dollars, with VIP tickets just under one hundred and ninety dollars.
Local wine and food will be on offer.
