A remarkable movie night was held recently at Kiama Uniting Church called ‘Written in Chalk’ about Arthur Stace, who wrote all over Sydney in chalk a famous graffiti, in one word, from the 1930s to the 1960s.

That one word was ‘Eternity’ and was so well recognised it featured in the Opera House during the Sydney 2000 Olympics.

Now locals, since the movie night, have been inspired and are chalking ‘Eternity’ on various pavement sites around Kiama!

Is this illegal? Well, since it is chalk, apparently not.

Keep an eye out; you might see Eternity written in Chalk somewhere around Kiama on your travels.
